Pet Sitting
Luxury Dog Boarding Resort
Pet Sitting
Not every dog thrives in a boarding facility. Some are anxious in new environments. Some are seniors who need their own bed and routine. Some simply prefer the quiet of home over the energy of a group setting. For those dogs, pet sitting is the better answer.
Pawsitively Love offers in-home pet sitting as an alternative to boarding for dog owners in West Palm Beach and throughout Palm Beach County. Instead of dropping your dog off at a resort, a sitter cares for your dog in a familiar, home-like setting. For dogs who do better in their own space, this is often the least stressful option. To learn about our cage-free boarding facility, see our dog boarding page. For daytime-only care, see our dog daycare service.
When Pet Sitting Makes More Sense Than Boarding
Boarding works well for social dogs who enjoy group play. Pet sitting works better for dogs who need something different.
Senior Dogs
Older dogs often struggle with change. A new environment, unfamiliar dogs, and a different routine can cause confusion and stress. Staying in a familiar space — or a quiet home-like setting — keeps their routine intact.
Anxious or Reactive Dogs
Dogs who are nervous around other dogs or people don’t thrive in group settings. A one-on-one arrangement removes the triggers that cause stress. If your dog falls into this category, our cage free dog boarding environment may not be the right fit, and pet sitting could be a better option.
Dogs with Medical Needs
Medication schedules, special diets, or mobility issues require focused attention. A sitter can follow your dog’s exact routine without the distractions of a group environment.
Multi-Pet Households
If you have dogs and cats — or multiple pets with different needs — pet sitting allows all of them to stay together in their own space.
How Pet Sitting Works
Pet sitting isn’t a one-size-fits-all service. The arrangement depends on your dog’s needs and your preferences.
In-Home Visits
A sitter comes to your home for scheduled visits. This can include feeding, walking, playtime, medication administration, and basic care. Your dog stays in their own environment with their own bed, toys, and routine.
Overnight Stays
For dogs who need companionship through the night, overnight sitting provides a sitter who stays in your home. This is the closest alternative to you being there yourself.
