Some dogs handle alone time well. Others don’t. If your dog paces, chews, barks, or destroys things when left alone, they’re telling you something. They need more stimulation, more exercise, and more social contact than a quiet house provides. Dog daycare solves that problem.
Pawsitively Love offers cage-free daytime care on a wooded property in Loxahatchee, about 20 minutes from most West Palm Beach neighborhoods. Dogs spend the day outdoors, moving freely between shaded areas and open grass. They play with other dogs, explore at their own pace, and come home tired. How Daycare Differs from Boarding
Daycare and boarding serve different purposes. Understanding the difference helps you choose the right option.

Daycare is about keeping your dog engaged and exercised during the day. Boarding is about providing a safe, comfortable place to stay when you’re away overnight. Some dogs use both services — daycare during the week, boarding for vacations.
What a Day at Daycare Looks Like
Every dog’s day looks a little different, but the rhythm stays consistent.
Morning: Dogs head outside to stretch, sniff, and play. The property has mature trees, open grass, and plenty of room to explore. Dogs who want to run, run. Dogs who prefer to wander and sniff at their own pace do that too.
Midday: After morning activity, dogs rest in the lounge areas. There are couches and comfortable spots where they can nap and recharge. Water is always available.
Afternoon: More outdoor time. The property is large enough that dogs can spread out and find their own space. The activity level depends on the dogs present and their energy levels.
Pick-up: Dogs go home tired. As one long-time client put it, “our dogs are pooped whenever we bring them home from a weekend at Pawsitively Love” . That’s the goal — a dog who has been mentally and physically engaged.
Who Thrives in Daycare
Cage-free daycare works well for social, friendly dogs who enjoy the company of other dogs. It is not the right fit for every animal, and we are honest about that.

Requirements for Daycare
Before your dog can join the group, we must confirm a few health requirements. These exist to protect every dog on the property. Full details are on our instructions page.
Vaccinations
All dogs must be current on Distemper, Bordetella, Parvo, and Rabies . You’ll need to bring a hard copy of your dog’s current vet report — we don’t keep records from previous visits and don’t copy documents on-site.
Flea and Tick Prevention
Your dog must be free of fleas and ticks and protected with a veterinarian-recommended flea and tick medication .
Fecal Check
An annual fecal check is required .
Spay/Neuter Status
Dogs over one year of age that are not spayed or neutered are not permitted in group areas . If your dog falls into this category, contact us to discuss options.

Check-In and Check-Out
Our property is gated and secure. Check-in follows a specific process for safety :

Call when you’re on your way so we have a heads up.

Wait at the outer gate — do not open any gate that is closed.

An attendant will guide you through the check-in process.

Keep children close and do not enter any area without an attendant.
The Dog Resort is open to the public between 11 AM and 6 PM, Monday through Sunday . Early check-in (8:00–8:30 AM) or late check-out (6:00–7:00 PM) is available for an additional $20 .
How Pricing Works
All pet owners must fill out our online application. Pricing follows the same structure as our boarding rates, charged per day :

Payment is due before check-in. We accept credit card via the “Buy Now” link on our website or cash. We do not accept checks .

Questions About Dog Daycare
How is daycare different from boarding?
Daycare is daytime-only care — your dog comes home at night. Boarding is overnight care while you’re away. Daycare is about exercise and socialization during the day.
Can I use daycare as a trial before boarding?
Yes. A daycare visit is a good way to see how your dog adjusts to the environment before committing to an overnight stay. Contact us to discuss scheduling a trial visit.
How long can my dog stay for daycare?
Daycare typically covers a workday. Our public hours are 11 AM to 6 PM, with early check-in and late check-out available for an additional fee .
What if my dog has never been in a group play setting?
That’s common. We recommend starting with a shorter visit so your dog can adjust to the environment and the other dogs.
Do you offer shuttle service?

What happens if my dog gets sick or injured?
The pet owner is responsible for any additional fees for emergency or veterinary care . We’ll contact you immediately if anything comes up.
