Luxury Dog Boarding Resort in Wellington Florida
Luxury Dog Boarding Resort
Luxury Dog Boarding Resort in Wellington Florida
Wellington Florida dog owners have plenty of boarding options. Most of them involve concrete runs, fluorescent lights, and a row of identical kennels. If you’re looking for something different — a place where your dog can run, explore, and actually enjoy their stay — you’re in the right place.
Pawsitively Love sits on wooded land in Loxahatchee, about 20 minutes from most Wellington Florida neighborhoods. It’s a former horse property with mature trees, open grass, a pond, and lounge areas for dogs to relax. Dogs spend their days outside, moving freely between shaded areas and open space. At night, they sleep together in a shared, climate-controlled room — not isolated in separate cages. To learn about pricing and logistics, visit our main dog boarding page. For daytime-only care, see our dog daycare service.
Why Wellington Florida Dog Owners Make the Drive
Loxahatchee isn’t Wellington Florida. It’s about 20 minutes away, past the suburban edge and into a more rural part of the county. Some dog owners wonder why they’d drive that far. The answer is simple: space.
Wellington Florida Is Built for People, Not Dogs
Condos, apartments, and small yards are common in Wellington Florida. Many dogs don’t get the room to run they need at home. A boarding facility with open space gives them something they can’t get in the city.
South Florida Heat Limits Outdoor Time
From May through September, Wellington Florida temperatures regularly climb into the low 90s, and humidity levels average 70% or higher. Dogs can’t safely spend long periods on hot concrete or in direct sun. A facility with mature trees, shaded areas, and plenty of water is essential — not optional. The tree cover at Pawsitively Love provides natural shade that concrete runs can’t match.
Reviews from Wellington Florida Clients
Long-time clients describe the property in specific terms. One reviewer wrote: “Imagine a huge barn and pastures for horses, now imagine it’s only for dogs to play and run in! Lots of space to run, amazing lounge areas for the dogs to relax, a pond to swim in.” Another said: “There are beautiful trees on property, plenty of space to run, couches for the dogs to lay down on.”
What Makes This a “Resort”
The word “resort” implies amenities and comfort. Here’s what that looks like on our property.
Trees and Open Space
The property has mature trees and open grass. Dogs spend their days outside, not confined to a building. There’s space to run, sniff, and explore at their own pace.
Lounge Areas for Resting
After activity, dogs rest in shaded lounge areas. Couches and comfortable spots are available. This isn’t a concrete run with a plastic bed — it’s a place where dogs can actually relax.
A Pond
The property includes a pond, which adds to the natural environment and gives dogs something interesting to investigate.
Shared Sleeping Quarters
At night, dogs sleep together in a shared, climate-controlled room — not isolated in separate cages. This mimics the way dogs naturally sleep in a group, which can reduce anxiety for social dogs.
Cage-Free Throughout
Dogs are not confined to individual kennels or runs. They move freely between indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the day.

Requirements for Boarding
Before your dog can stay, we must confirm a few health requirements. Full details are on our instructions page.
Vaccinations
All dogs must be current on Distemper, Bordetella, Parvo, and Rabies. You’ll need to bring a hard copy of your dog’s current vet report — we don’t keep records from previous visits and don’t copy documents on-site.
Flea and Tick Prevention
Your dog must be free of fleas and ticks and protected with a veterinarian-recommended flea and tick medication.
Fecal Check
An annual fecal check is required.
Spay/Neuter Status
Dogs over one year of age that are not spayed or neutered are not permitted in group areas.
